Tracey Albrecht
Founder, Graphic Designer
I started Soapbox Studio in 1997 to offer high-quality graphic design services to local businesses in a physical studio in the suburbs of Chicago. We have recently expanded the business to online services. Now, any business owner, anywhere, can have professional graphic design services and benefit from over 50 years of combined experience from our small but mighty team, including mastery of design, color, and creativity.
I received my Bachelor of Arts when my first computer was an Apple LCII. Ever since I can remember, I wanted to work in a career where art is the focus, and thankfully, my art teacher in High School and Community College and God’s guidance showed me opportunities for graphic design; it wasn’t a “thing” back then like it is now, and to press on to get my Bachelors. Five years after working with a graphic design company (K&W Graphics) and an ad agency in downtown Chicago (TFA Communications), we started Soapbox Studio, Inc.
On a personal note, I am a birth mom, step-mom, foster mom, and adoptive mom with kids currently ages 2 to 24. My husband and I fostered seven children and adopted one through foster care. We are working on our second adoption with our current foster daughter, a sweet 2-year-old girl.
